My husband has been in dyer need of a vacation lately. He works so hard and was needing a break so we wanted to get away for a little while. We decided to make it somewhat relaxing we would bring my sister along to help us out with AJ so we could have some alone time. After all, we did celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary on our trip! We wanted to go somewhere we have never been so we picked South Carolina. Why not! What a mistake that was! It was too cold and not much to do. After just a day of being there, we got in our rental car and drove 8 hours to Orlando. It was a little stressful with a baby to say the least. Once we got to Orlando then we had a better time!
We had to wake AJ up at 4:50 am to catch a flight. After a 4 hour flight to Atlanta, he finally fell asleep taxing in to the gate.

He took a solid 10 minute nap.

This was on our layover back home. He loves his feet.

Hanging out in the Delta Crown room on our long layover.

Finally getting to South Carolina. What a long day! AJ was such a champ!

Laralee was so good to us. She let us sleep in every morning and played with AJ and then took him a few nights so we could go out. Every morning AJ wanted to cuddle with her. I was a little jealous since he's not much of a cuddler.

For Halloween we went to a local mall and did a little trick or treating. AJ was in a super mellow mood and just sat back and took it all in.

Already getting the ladies. ;) This little girl thought AJ was so cute, she crawled up on top of him and gave him a kiss. Haha!

Hanging out with dad in the room.

AJ was such a champ on our 8 hour drive. I was so stressed out about driving that long with him but he did awesome. Only breaking down the last 30 minutes of the drive. What a champ!

We went to Sea World our first day there and AJ had such a blast! Loved every second of it. He was so excited he didn't know what to do with himself. It was so fun watching him take it all in.

We spent most our time at Universal Studios. Alan was so sweet to take AJ for the day and let Laralee and I live it up at Universal Studios. We had such a blast!

For our anniversary (kicking myself that I didn't get a picture!) we went to a nice steak house at the Ritz Carlton. Oh my, the food was amazing! It was just a fun, relaxing and chill night for us.
I love my little man so much! This was us (day 2) at Universal Studios.

Our trip home was difficult. AJ missed his nap and we had a 5 hour flight AND we were delayed an hour. We didn't get home until after 8pm. It was a long flying day with him having a few melt downs on the plane. I may or may not have joined him on one of those melt downs. It was so nice to make it home! I know AJ was thrilled. :D

Although it was so fun to spend time as a family and watch AJ experience new things, it was an exhausting trip! So a few weeks later Alan and I decided to take a trip to Vegas to really relax. We went with our good friends Ron and Angie and had such a blast. Angie and I shopped most the weekend, we went to see Phantom of the Opera and a show called Ka. We ate and ate and ate. It was just fun to get away for a few days and spend time with our good friends.
Next time we go on a family vacation I think we'll pick somewhere we know a little better and be more prepared. That's the moral of the story. ;)
