Boys will be boys!

My little brother Dayne and his college buddies have this new obsession. They get in their swimsuits and head up this trail in Alpine which runs into a lake. They get speed going down this trail, fly in the air and do a back flip or jump in this lake. Check out the video they made http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXcKkgZ36hk I guess boys will be boys! Well 2 days ago they decided to do it again. Dayne hadn't had any sleep and wasn't feeling all that great (that is his excuse anyway :)) He was headed down this trail and his bike hit a little bump just right and stopped him dead in his tracks. He went flying over the handle bars and skidded down the trail (no shirt on) breaking his clavicle and getting some pretty good road rash. I just hope he's learned his lesson! He is doing better and is recovering well.

When this happened, he called me on his way to the hospital to come be with him. I felt like a horrible sister because I was at girls camp. It was so hard not to drop everything and go be with him. Dayne is 8yrs younger than me so I feel like a mom to him. Anyway, I called Alan and Alan being the best husband in the world dropped what he was doing and spent 4hrs in the ER with him. Now that is a good husband! :) Check out these pics...

In so much pain but somehow finds a way to flex. Dork!

T3 Workout Video Shoot

Here are a bunch of pictures from our workout video we shot last week. Can I just say what an amazing experience this was? I worked with the best team! They were all so nice, funny and encouraging with each other.
I worked with some of the fittest people I've ever met before! Surba, my friend who put all this together (it's his baby) put us all on a very strict diet a week out. We lived on chicken, fish, raw almonds, egg whites and lots of veggies. I think we were all so focused on our diet and worried about what we'd look like on camera that we didn't think about how hard the workouts were going to be. If you know Surba, you wouldn't expect anything less from him. As we sat and watched them film the first segment, we all panic and started eating donuts, bagels, cookies, etc.. for energy to get through them. These workouts were tough! Of course the hardest one I was in we had to keep re shooting because either it wasn't right or ran out of tape. I got pretty bruised up on that one. My hips were all bruised and swollen. It looked pretty funny!
All in all, it was an incredible experience! I'm so honored I got to be a part of this and can't wait to see the video when it comes out! If anyone wants a really tough workout to get them in shape, T3 is what it is called. Check it out!

Here we are most of us, being super cheesy

This is day 2 with the rest of the crew

I know some of these are blurry but I thought they looked pretty cool

I felt like I was so super cheesy but the camera men kept telling us if we felt too cheesy, were doing it right. I guess we were doing it right!

Our buff camera crew. They were so much fun to work with!

Ya, I don't really know what we are doing here

Happy 4th!

The 4Th of July might be my favorite holiday. Some people think I'm crazy. What about Christmas and Thanksgiving?! Yes, I love those holidays! The hustle and bustle, the yummy treats, the serving, the parties, etc... But I love the 4Th because it's summer and you get to barbecue, go swimming, watch fireworks and it's just laid back. There isn't a lot of stress involved. Just good food, family and hanging out. What's not to love?

We had a great time yesterday. We had a barbecue at my parents house. I tend to post so many pictures so I apologize for that. It's just hard to narrow them down.

Alan and my brother in law Brett cooking the food

My brother Dayne and niece Alexis. She loves her Uncle Dayne more than anything!

My sista's minus one. I love love love having sisters!

My Dad and brother

The kiddos eating lunch (they crack me up!)

Getting ready to do a few fireworks of our own

Here are picture of Thomas watching the show. Hilarious!

Feeling brave in the beginning....

He ran back to have Alan hold him. He started to get a bit nervous. He wasn't quite sure what to think of the whole thing.... (P.s. He loves his Uncle Alan so much!)

Trying to be brave but just couldn't bare to look...

That's it! He had to go in the house but still wanted to see the action... (love his little nose pressed against the glass. Priceless!)

Feeling a bit more brave to watch the show with the door open.

Dayne putting on the show

This shirt is meant for me but whatever! ;)

My Dad was a mission president in Dallas, Texas 1990-1993. Every now and again we get one of his missionaries to come see us. Elder Eliason (I know he's not 'Elder' but he always will be to us) came to see us. He was one of our favorites. Shh, don't tell! He spent a lot of time with us since he was on of my Dad's assistance's. I'm so glad they came. They made our day much more entertaining! He's a prosecutor for a living and we sat around and heard some of his cases. Very fascinating to me! This is him and his cute family.

Then off we went to the see the fireworks in Sugar House Park. We love this tradition! Every year we walk down from my parents old house to Sugar House. It's about a mile or 2 walk. We love going and being in middle of the fun and action. Plus, they put on the best show! This year was extra special because it might be the last year they do a show. I am all about traditions so it will be hard to see this one die. Guess we'll have to make new ones. Here we are watching to showing...
