I can't believe a year ago (October 4, 2010) this is what my little peanut looked like

And this is him a year later!

He much prefers to look at animals from afar. If he gets too close, he panics.

We took a train ride where everyone on board wished him a happy birthday

We finished off our adventure with some ice cream and a nap at nana's house. We then went to visit his other grandma and grandpa. His grandma and him both share the same birthday. This is him opening his very first present.

We celebrated his birthday a week later with my family. We made it a ball theme since AJ can't get enough of them. He loves to play catch, he loves bubbles, he loves anything round. He was pretty overwhelmed by all the attention but had a great time! He thought his cake was a real ball so he was a little grossed out when he tried to pick it up. I was surprised that he didn't dive into his cake. He didn't know what to think. I had to force some cake into his mouth. I knew once he tasted it, he'd love it. He took a few very small bites, very gently and was done. Here are some pictures of the big day...

(He's saying 'mmmm' in this picture)

His cousin Christian just adores him and takes such good care of him. He actually reminds me of the way his mom was with me when we were growing up.

Opening presents!

And of course, what's a party without bubbles? AJ is obsessed with bubbles. He couldn't get enough of them!
I ended up waiting a week to give him his presents I bought him. He got so many at his party, I decided to hold off giving him what I got him.
