I had the opportunity to go to Rome with my sister and some of her girlfriends. It was actually Alan's idea for me to go. What an amazing husband I have! He offered to take work off and take care of AJ while I went to play in Italy. We had such a blast! We got stuck flying out of D.C. but it was pretty cool being in D.C. and flying on United on the ten year anniversary of September 11th.
We ate some pretty amazing food. Those Italians sure know how to make amazing pizza, lasagna, gelato, etc...
The Colosseum was the most intriguing place we visited.
After a long day of site seeing we stopped for gelato. I may have fallen asleep for a bit. Flying to Europe always throws me for a loop.
What's better than gelato? Gelato with pancakes. Mmmm!
My sister was on a mission to kiss a Roman. Haha!
Best restaurant we went to. Super pricey but worth every bite. One can of soda was $12. Yikes!
Best lasagna ever. Melt in your mouth, amazing!
I had such a blast! We shopped till we dropped because Italy has amazing shopping, ate till we were sick, laughed till it hurt and walked till our legs wanted to fall off. It was such a fun girls trip. The rest of the girls went on to other cities and I went home after Rome. :( I missed my baby and didn't want to be away from my family too long. Thanks ladies for an adventure I'll never forget!
